This is an on-line course followed by a ‘Skills and Exam’ Day
The Online Course requires that students complete the knowledge portion of the course online and attend a skills and exam day which is about 7 hours. Students complete quizzes and exam as they do the online course and are provided with a voucher that must be printed and brought with the student to attend the skills and exam day upon completion of the final online exam. In the skills and exam session students must demonstrate to the instructor that they can safely handle a firearm, participate in activities, bring in a survival kit with appropriate contents and pass a 50 question test with a grade of at least 70%. Once again; students must complete the online course and provide voucher to attend the Skills and Exam Day.

Topics/requirements at the Skills & Exam day include:
- Registration for Maine certification
- Attend the program in its’ entirety, per instructor outline
- Participate in all activities
- Demonstrate safe handling of firearms
- Show completed survival kit
- Pass Maine final exam with a grade of 70%
- Demonstrate a proper attitude
NOTE: The class is limited to 40 students. The $10.00 course fee will be collected at the beginning of the Skills and Exam Day. Registrations will close on October 24, 2016 to provide students with sufficient time (typically 4-8 hours) to complete the online course before the Skills & Exam day on October 29th, 2016.
